The way it happened — you can see there was a trigger, that the action was involuntary on his part. When someone kills a co-worker or friend out of the blue, it may mean they've been secretly harboring strong negative feelings towards the other person, or perhaps that they're mentally ill; but with the build up there, if you could even call it a build up, you don't see him snap. It's just one second normal, the next second, attacking.
