So, is this how it is here? When one hero doesn't like another, they come to blows and try to kill each other? That's what it seems like.

I admit, I'm not a perfect being. Not by a long shot. I've made mistakes, but I try to own up to them and try to fix the problem. But, I would never go so far as to murder another. And now there are some who are ( Read more... )

It was an accident, I did not kill him.

Even still, the fact that it lead to this just proves that things aren't what they should be.

And by the looks of things, you didn't even check to see if the man was alright or if you could try to save him. Something like that could have made a difference.

Of course they aren't.

The data indicated that his neck snapped. Heart stopped as soon as he hit the pavement. I didn't need to get close to him to see that.

[ And nor would he. Eugh! ]

[Man up, Tony! You big baby!]

You could have SAVED him! Made some sort of effort to do something! Not just sit there and watch!

I could not have put it better myself. You remind me of my old apprentice.

Mmmn... I really had high hopes for this place, though I think it's high time I start setting an example here...

...your old apprentice?

He was a man of action, much like yourself.

While it cost him a great deal, he never wavered from his conviction to do what he felt was right.

So tell me then, what does a hero do? Besides "something", 'cause you've already covered that.

You show others what is right, that there are other ways of handling things than just hitting things with your fists. If it comes to that, so be it. But, do NOT take another life...

[Yeah, he doesn't know that he's talking to a soldier here...!]

Seems to me this whole business is based around hitting things with your fists. Seems to me it ain't the best to get all preachy when times get rough, specially since most of the people here had the mantle of hero thrust upon them, not by any say-so of their own.

But I dunno, the heroes I knew killed people, so my perspective might be a bit crooked.

I'm starting to see that. Of course, I had hoped that the heroes in this world would help guide those who weren't before in what it means to be a hero.

All I'm seeing is that people should be perfectly willing to maim others for any reason...

Sorry, Selena. Just...

There should have been something different done. It shouldn't of ended like it did!

I should know that by now. I guess I'm being a bit more hopeful than I should be allowed.

kekekeke. Then again, it was Stark and Osborn. This is fairly par for the fucking course.

...what do you mean by that?

Superman, right? You're new here. Osborn and Stark are always at each other's throats like fucking cats and dogs. It's the rivalry of the fucking century! And whether EITHER of them are heroes is up for fucking debate.

I'm afraid I'm starting to see that now... I can't say much for Osborn since I haven't seen what he's done, but Stark... *sighs*
