I'm the new owner of a Dell Latitude. It's WAY better than my previous Thinkpad. Don't get me wrong... I love my Thinkpad. You never forget your first laptop. I had him for... 6 years. But he was so slow. And so old. Slow reaction time. I just had to trade in for the newer model. It's still too early

1.86GHz chip, P4 (I think), 20GB HD, 512MB RAM, 48xCD-ROM drive, integrated wireless network card

Those are the main components that I'm excited about. The only component that isn't as good as my Thinkpad is the Harddrive. I had put a 40GB HD in the Thinkpad. I'm kinda torn between getting a bigger HD for the Latitude or more memory for the Thinkpad.

my previous laptop had a 40 GB HD in it. I miss it. I'm looking for a new HD, though.

My brother got it at an amazing deal.... so I'm not complaining at all about looking for a new HD.

oooh nice ;) u know wht u shouuuuld dooo? get an internal hd thenn get an enclosure my roomate is going to do it he has a laptop too.. it costs about 50 bux at bestbuy. i siad internal cause its so much cheaper than external :)
