Dad & the C-monster.

Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on March 12, 2010.
Since then, we've discovered that it has metastasized to his spine, hips, bladder, kidney, brain and retina (eyes), mainly on his right side. He has undergone a full round (10 sessions) of radiation and has started a 12 week round of chemotherapy.

You are in my thoughts. Your having to go through this hard journey breaks my heart, and I wish there were something to say or do that would suffice. Know that I'm thinking about you and wishing the best there is and there can be.

Oh god, this is so awful...I can't imagine getting so much bad news in such a short amount of time. I'm glad to hear that your dad is maintaining a positive outlook...it sounds so cheesy, but my mother battled cancer off and on for eight years and sometimes I think the reason why she kept fighting it off so successfully again and again was because she refused to let it get her down. The whole mind-over-matter thing. I don't know, I feel like everything I'm saying is trite right now...suffice it to say that I'm going to be sending good thoughts your way for you and your family.

I just saw this...I am so sorry. I know there is nothing I can do nor say that will make the situation better, but I am here. You know I live in Philly so if there is anything ANYTHING i can do (like pick someone up or drop something off or buy something or whatever!) just let me know.
