I can't tell if anyone actually won the debate.  Each candidate held their own at different parts and on different topics.  While that's well and good, I think McCain needed a definitive win - not a tie.  For that reason alone, I'd say Obama came out on top after the debate.

Apparently there were a few Democrats in the media who were upset at how many things Obama said he agreed with McCain on ... apparently it made him sound not as aggressive as they wanted him to be. There was some chatter about Obama needing better prep for the next debate so he can say more than just the "that's where we fundamentally differ". But I agree with you, both seemed to essentially sing the same tune finally.

to me: obama won it with high marks. mccain didn't really answer questions and stayed off topic and accusatory. while obama was quick and to the point and his arguments were based on facts.

the sarah palin not being on nbc....was just too funny, in retrospect.
the interview is just...gut wrenching for me.
