You can't assume that every person you meet is manipulative, selfish and back-stabbing.  By doing that, you've let love lose.  And what kind of world is it when there's no love?

Believe in your relationship.  If you believe in your relationship, you need to stand up and fight for it.  But

As I've learned in my most current relationship as soon as you stop assuming that all men are assholes, you can fall in love deep, and not be afraid of being hurt. It's a wonderful feeling.

what about if you believe that they're no assholes, but they continue to behave like one? then what?

eh I'd be a bitch right back to him. Eye for an eye. hahaha. I've learned that there is NO point in "waiting around" or "pining over" any guy who does not treat you with respect... Whether it be little things like not keeping his word, to the big things like cheating/constantly being a dick -- its not worth it. There are way too many fish in the sea to just get hung up over one.

But that, too is easier said than done. I went through that shit with DC boy..('waiting' for that change etc, when everyone told me its not worth the time) and threatened to leave and then he finally got his shit together.
