If Xander actually had a phone bill, it's possible he might get curious about the consistent usage spike around the 30th or 31st of each month, but let's face it, probably not. People get talky at the end of the month, evil attacks on Tuesdays...what else is new?
Since he didn't have a phone bill, through the wonders of Bridgetech, Inc, it really didn't bother him. Neither did calling long-distance to the future in another dimension just to say hi.
"It's an alternate past for you," Xander pointed out. He wiped a paint spatter off his forehead and added, "I've got a job now, so better than I could say a few months ago."
"Not so tough; not like Bridge didn't have a job. I just wasn't feeling the kept man life, you know?" He crooked the phone between shoulder and ear, resting his arms against his knees. "So he found me a spot doing maintenance and repair stuff for SPD."
