I was actually a bit underwhelmed by their recast for Pike. She lacked any kind of gravitas, which made it hard to understand how her words could really get to Kirk.

the lesbian weddings tumblr makes me smiley and squeeful too! and not just because i saw at least one jewish ceremony. (the officiant wearing a tallis was kind of a giveaway, plus the folded napkin on the floor which was no doubt covering a glass to be broken.) lookit all the happy ladies!

it's the great dalek is adorable. vaguely creepy in a "this shouldn't be cute" kind of way, tho. altho to be honest, daleks lend themselves to cuddly really well.
