Woo, Air Bender!

Have you played anything on the Fate system yet? It can handle medieval fantasy easily, and building an Air Bender would be simple work. I also think you'd dig the tools for character play.

Okay, honestly: I'm mostly recommending it to you because I think you'd dig the tools for character play. The Air Bender stuff is absolutely true, but I'm just trying to generate interest. ^^;;;;;;

I haven't even heard of the Fate system. I'll have to suggest it to my group, although they're pretty set in their core D&D ways.

I expect this build will be some kind of variation on a Centered Breath Monk \o/ Definitely more defensive than offensive.

Well, check out either the Dresden Files RPG or Spirit of the Century, if you'd care to expand your horizons a little. Fate is open source, as D20 used to be, and the table experience is a little closer to White Wolf's Storyteller system, but with fewer moving parts than that system. Dresden Files has some system-agnostic stuff that'd be useful for nearly any table.

Around 60% of the games I've been playing are in that system these days, from Firefly to D&D-style fantasy.

More defender than striker, then?
