BC Liberals collapse, BC Conservatives ascending rapidly, BCNDP the big winners.

An election is likely between 8 and 20 months away, so things can change--but this also isn't the first time BC has cannibalized their centre-right party, giving wind to the NDP's sails in the interim. (Viz: the 1991 election.)

Lots of people here vote FU rather than NDP, Lib or Tory.

But 8 months is an eternity in BC politics--and don't expect Clark to call it before the scheduled election unless her fortunes improve mightily.

I'm a Dipper so I like these numbers--but I've seen every sort of result in our votes out here. Nothing matters until election day.

Oh, great, here we go again. Plus ça change...

I wonder whether this recent poll will accelerate the transfer of BC Liberal votes to the BC Conservatives. In any case, as jawnbc says, even just eight months is forever in politics.
