AirCanada is having labour problems. If unions are going to become relevant again, they need to adapt to the realities of the modern workforce. They could start by easing up on seniority rules that give all the goodies to senior people and put junior people through the wringer. It would give unions a lot more credibility when they start spouting off about equality or caring about workers.
Do flight attendants deserve more than their offer? Not if there are dozens of people lined up, willing to do the work, to take the good with the bad, for less money.
