I take it this is about the Alberta Liberals?

Thank you! I was totally confused through the post up until the mention of an association with the Federal Liberals.

Instead of picking a leader of the opposition that has new ideas, fresh perspectives, someone like Dave Taylor or Moe Elsalhy, the Liberal chose Swann who offers nothing other then the basic sweetness that is being in opposition to the government.

The Dinger wrote... Meanwhile, down at the Glenmore Inn, people sporting Obama buttons offer to inspire me and give directions to a fourth-dimension "high road" outside of space and time.

In fact, I arrive to catch the Alberta Liberals fall on their swords. I don't cover suicides but an exception is made.

A party beat up for decades goes the hara-kiri route and elects David Swann as leader, a fine man but not a big sell the further you get away from those imbibing the cool Kensington Kool-Aid and burning the heavy-duty incense. It's rather a sad spectacle. While neither David, Dave or Mo suggested a name change is in order, it's clear that a simple rebranding might help when they don't offer, and not interested in offering a new alternative. It's not just the leadership but the party

It's about the Alberta Liberal Party. It confused me for a second too.

Uhh, next time, you wanna mention Alberta before you post? I was all confused. Outside Alberta, not a lot of people care. :D

Folks outside wonder why Alberta votes Tory election after election. It's because the Tory's run virtually unopposed. I don't see any desire to really oppose them either.

Maybe you should care. I'm not interested in Quebec or Ontario politics either. Perhaps by misleading you, you learned something you might have otherwise ignored. I mean Alberta is the economic powerhouse right now, and it's role is set to continue in the predictable future, so our politics do affect the entire country.
