I think it would be really cool if people started chanting "Pro-rogue" in a sing-song voice every time they saw Harper out in public. Ideally they'd do it from now until he dies, maybe stopping during his funeral service.

I think this means the coalition will have to back down, because if they bring down the government the GG may well call another election, which seems far more likely to result in a Conservative majority.

The coalition is pushing for a change of government without an election precisely for this reason. They don't want an election. They don't have the money for it and they would probably lose even more seats if they put the question before the Canadian people.
