Bernier Slips in Afghanistan

Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier overstepped himself Monday while speaking to reporters after a closed door meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. When reporters asked M. I also worry about the relationship that the Canadian Forces and Canadian foreign policy officials will have with the governor's office.

Looks like it's going to be a long week for the PM. First Bernier makes a bit of a gaffe, then this:

CBC - Mounties search Tory headquarters (At least CBC is using the term "search" instead of "raid" - unlike some other news outlets).

Unfortunately all politicians have a tendency to run their mouths, even when they shouldn't. A famous example was a US senator during the second world war publicly announced the US Navy's (previously effective) evasion tactics for submarines. He killed a lot of sailors.
