I must say, that's rather distressing. I've lived here for quite some time, and while the locals may be a tad bit superstitious, most of them are rather friendly. What problems have you been having, if you don't mind me asking?

Mm, there's no doubt in my mind that the majority of them are friendly... I supposed I've just had the misfortune of running into the few who aren't. As for my problems, well... first, lodging was an issue, but I managed to take care of that one way or another. Now it's a matter of a source of income. Money is running short, and seeing as how things are going, I have a feeling that... I'll be here for quite some time. I may as well get a job somewhere, but I haven't seen any openings as of late.

I believe there's a local restaurant that's looking for waitresses in the afternoon, and I hear that one of the bars around here is in desperate need of servers during the evening. Perhaps you should look into one of those...?
