Though naturally nothing quite beats lilac_bearry's interpretation. :D

Hmm...I think I might have missed this. Share plz?

This is my favorite chapter in HBP.

As I was re-reading the book this time (and I should point out that this is the first time I've read the book straight through since ORXmoot), I'm most impressed with how much more decisive, thoughtful, and mature Harry is in this book. There are just so many times in it where it's clear that Harry has become a man. In a way it's so pronounced it's almost shocking, especially in this chapter when his decision-making powers are, ah, chemically enhanced. But it's also the most natural thing in the world.

I also love the discussion of Lily and the Potters' deaths. Even though I know Harry is totally using it to manipulate Slughorn, it's still very poignant to me. And this chapter really makes me love Slughorn--his eulogy for Aragog was perfect. Again, despite the manipulation going on, I can't help but admire the guy.
