Interaction between Lucius and Remus?

Is there any scene or even implication in the books that shows an interaction between characters Lucius Malfoy and Remus Lupin? I can't really remember one, but I might have missed it.

char: lucius malfoy, char: remus lupin, relations, dialogue, user: tommykaine

I don't think there were any. For school-era in the 70s we have the age difference of 5-6 years with rival houses and different social backgrounds. Lucius possibly shows up very shortly warmly welcoming Severus to the House as a prefect but that's it for that era in canon, no Lupin-interaction. (You could fanwank him as Lucius the prefect noticing him as one of the bullies picking on outnumbered Snape, whom he apparently likes/treats as a protege... but no canon ( ... )

Thanks a lot for your thorough answer! That's what I feared too :/

(I've been challenged to write a Lucius/Remus fanfiction)

Oh dear. Sounds tough. I admit I wouldn't want to write supporting characters with at least established backgrounds and personalities whom yet have NEVER said a word to each other over 7 books, despite living at the same time in the same small community. I'd rather take active disdain with lots of interaction - or conversely people so minor we know nothing but name and House, where you can invent or subvert their personality and BG ( ... )

(I will have revenge for this pairing choice XD I get to challenge them when I finish *eyes Dudleyshipping prompt with an evil grin*)

I'm still not sure, but yeah I'll probably do either first war or What If! for the final war with Remus getting captured. I sort of had an idea of them talking about their sons and Lucius showing his human side. I'll see what comes out in the end XD

(Of course, PWP smut has been forbidden XD or the challenge would have been over much quickly).
