Cream... but they had already broken up.

Bad Company.... but they only lasted for a few albums.

Grateful Dead may have been the first band that really delivered music which I had heard on record when I saw them live.

Hay there stranger! glad to here from you. Again, you were soooo much more sophisticated in your music choices than I was. Also I was never a Fan of just a few band or types of music, more of a sampler platter for me.

I was actually a big fan of blues music. The first musicians that I actually met whose records I had were blues musicians Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry. I had "The Best B. B. King" in high school, but I did not see him play until at least ten years later at the New Orleans Jazz and Blues Heritage Festival. I was also a fan of Roy Buchanan right from the start, and saw him play several times at a club called the "Exit/In" in Nashville. I used to sneak in there before I was 18. Now I guess that you have to be 21 to see that kind of live music.
