"Pachinko" is unsearchable. Oops.

Do you know if this censoring carries over to other languages? I thought it was slightly odd that the Nazi list had "hail victory" but not "zieg heil", which is much more recognizable as a Nazi phrase, at least to me. So can you still search for kiddie porn if it's listed in French, or what?

And am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious that they're only blocking "rape" in the context of child/family porn?

It's only in English.

It was hinted to me by a staff member that it's a code-related issue--something like spambots or webcrawlers or virus-bits that attach to the troublesome words. Since the hostile coding is attaching to or looking for English words, only the English ones need to be blocked.

However, this is unconfirmed, and staff hasn't answered my support request on the topic, which is now several months old.

Prussian blue is connected to Nazism? I had never heard that! It's a standard pigment in paints! Heh, oh well, I've just added it to my interests.

Oh, I just Googled it and found that Prussian Blue is the name of a White Pride band. And I suppose Titanium White is a blue pride band made of smurfs.

Hello Grace!

I was also interested to see that left-wing skinheads are Sharpes. This will mean, of course, that when LJ finally get around to blocking Sharpe as a searh term, I (and so many other fans of Bernard Cornwell's creation Richard Sharpe) will be, well, buggered. :D
