I called in sick this morning, it's the first time I've ever done it in my current job that I've had for 2.5 years!(?) It was quite a production because technically (and for decency's sake) you are supposed to announce your illness before 9:15 am, but no library worker worth their salt would answer the phone before the library opens at 10:00! So

2.5 years without a sick day is a pretty exceptional record. Whenever I had a real job I would be "sick" at least once a month! Now I don't even bother showing up a lot of the time :( Take that, spirit of capitalism!

Are you going to be in town for my visit this week/end? Also, now that I am queen of cheap Toronto foodstuffs, you should really come visit here for once!

It's not that I have never been sick, it just never coincided with those 8 core hours of the week I guess.

-Ya I'll be in town, I have the weekend off, unless I decide to go to Montreal. Why, how long will you be here, what are you doing..? Sorry I have been away from the computer, I didn't catch the part where you said you were coming :(

I'll be there Wednesday night and will probably stay until Saturday maybe? I'm giving a presentation at Ottawa U early Thursday morning, so that's why I'll be there.

Uhh, more than normal number of people are like that lately, around me..
I usually stomp around all night thinking about rotten politics and shuffling my head for... a light at the end of the dark tunnel of nationalism. :(
