I went to a demonstration for a bit before work yesterday, it was organized by a coalition of First Nations in Canada which are all having their language funding slashed by more than 2/3. They were also bemoaning that as always their living conditions are ridiculously poor. I just think it's pitiful that our government is always cutting some

I am too often frustrated by the lack of any real help our government wants to give first nations people. I know a lot of people come down on nativbes for all the "breaks" they get but when your family has been knocked down generations ago and not really given a helping hand up, sure you will still be struggling.

They give mock help to appease the media and thus making the main population think that our government IS doing their part, and that those 'indians' are just after anything.

It frustrates me to no end.

Our current political hype(? at "current", and also at "hype" as an appropriate word) is at some meddals being awarded to the former members of the infamous Dutchbat from Srebrenica.

, while having a few dear dutch friends, and working on a srebrenica memorial, with a girl half of whose family was slaughtered there!
My political stand wishes it didn't exist.
