Belated happy birthday to aishuu, who asked (twice!) for more of this AU, i.e. the one where Taiki was Gyousou's predecessor's kirin. Somehow these bits seem to get longer with each incursion. I thought it was time for some trophy husband POV, if only for the sake of Taiki's hair.

It occurs to me that it's a really good thing FailKing resigned--because otherwise the general would've had to choke a bitch, or rather chop a bitch's head off--because he couldn't just stand by and watch the Taiho die of shitsudou!!--and then Taiki would've had the debilitating angst of having to choose the man who killed his first king to be the next one looooool so not funny.

The controversy of the winter purge is incorporated here, i see. This makes for an even more interesting AU, with a mature Taiki.

I figure the purge is gonna go down one way or another, because there's no way Gyousou is gonna leave a bunch of corrupt officials sitting in place and continuing to do damage to the realm. So yeah. This may be the kinder gentler purge, though, with Taiki in on it.

HI. hope you don't mind if i go through all your 12k fics without leaving much comment; i'm not v. articulate anyway you'll probably just get a mess of keysmash and feelings like right now because

ahhh i loved it; it love the concept of this au and the way taiki's on much more even footing now and your prose and everything, ugh sorry shutting up now.

but it was good and i really enjoyed it, i'm sure to enjoy all the the others too. ♥♥♥
