I really enjoyed this--it's very calm, and a little sad, and there's not much in the way of plot--but there doesn't need to be for this, I think. And I like how Obi-Wan's still learning, even after all those years ... I wonder if Qui-Gon still has a thing or two to learn thimself, or if being dead sort of puts the kibosh on that? ^___^
Not super familiar with Star Wars, but I read your fic no matter what the subject, because your language is beautifully crafted. The richness of this setting, your use of terms like "proboscis", jedi perceptions, the peculiar way two suns rise, all of it feels so right. Metaphysically sharing a bed asldkasl so sexy. I love the part about standing in the lee of his master, ahhh what an evocative line!
You've seen the films, though, y/y? I...am not very familiar with Star Wars either, except for the bits where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan enact pedagogical m/m.
Thank youuuuu ;_; why u so good to me.
"Lee" is a useful word, which I learned from The Secret of NIMH when I was small. THE LEE OF THE STONE.

I think Qui-Gon still has things to learn. "When the apprentice teaches the Master, the partnership is right," as Jude Watson would have it... XD
