INTERSPECIES HET: THE BEST KIND? Or, Lell learns to accessorize. I, uh. Have been meaning to do this since lo many moons ago I read The Son of Summer Stars, which is not the best of the trilogy but has its virtues. Such as Illishar.

Spoilers for the entire Firebringer Trilogy, which like two of you have read. ^^; PG.

Meredith Ann Pierce. See amazon links in prev. post. Given your location I'm sure you can find them at a library. Why haven't you read them, I don't know, you were too busy reading 9 kajillion Discworld novels? >D

This is all kinds of awesome. ♥ ♥ ♥ It's been a little while since I read the book, but if I'm remember what's what correctly I so totally wanted to see those two hooking up. ^_^

I haven't read this trilogy and didn't figure out which species both characters belonged to till after I read this story the first time and I still loved it. It's so romantic! (I mean that in the nicest, non-mushy possible way.)
I just spent half an hour looking for pictures and descriptions of Lell and Illishar...

Thank you! I'm glad (if amazed) it can be enjoyed even without knowing who or what the heck is who.

You probably didn't have much luck in your pic search. Unfortunately it's not a well-known series at all, I'm afraid the fandom critical mass just doesn't exist.
