Made it back from Lowlands in one piece!

Sep 01, 2003 21:54

Yesterday we came back from Lowlands. I was too tired to provide a whole report on the trip, so here I am today, a little bit more rested and willing to let the whole world know how it all went. ;)

In case the whole world is not really interested, I put the story behind a cut instead. Warning, long post behind the cut! )

I don't mind, it's all for our safety, sure, but WHY THE HECK didn't they put more than one person per gate or something?? *grunt*

Or they could have done something REALLY bizarre like have people walk down the lines checking bags BEFORE the gates actually opened! *rolls eyes*

Feel free to curse at me for being dumb. Holly already did. ;)

*grin* I would, but I think you've figured that one out.

We also saw some Manga movie called Sakura or something

Main character a small, female munchkin with HUGE green eyes and lots of cute-ish costumes?

And now I gotta pack again cause we're off to Mexico this Saturday!!! *wheeeee*

HAVE FUN! Don't forget your sun block! Although you're far less likely to fry to a crisp than I was, but still...better safe than sorry. ^^;

That would be good but also quite difficult, considering that behind the gates there is no lines, so there is no control. It's just a mass of people trying to make their way in through a door LOL. People can squeeeeze in all the way to the front if they wish, so those who are checking the bags would have a hard time spotting those who make their way to the front, after the bags have been checked...

Well she was female, and had about 6 other female friends, who controlled robots and fought an evil dude who had an army of flying thingies that could destroy a town in a blink. ... Rings a bell? LOL!

Ah, okay...this makes sense.

Well, not what I was thinking of (namely Card Captor Sakura), but it does sound like what I've heard of Sakura Taisen (a.k.a. Sakura Wars, I believe...). That was going to be my second guess as it's the other really big "Sakura" anime that I know is big. =P Too many cherry blossoms out there! Entirely too many!

This look about right?

LOL, yes, Sakura Taisen it is! We just checked the festival program to confirm. :)

Well I hope you are feeling better now that you are off to Mexico! Shall be a grand time!!!

Drugs are indeed evil... but I understand what it's like to be at that place, with everyone else indulging and even though we're grown up, and no one is forcing us... some how peer pressure kicks in. :P Even though no one even says, "Here have some!" ya just do it... *kick kick kick* So often a mistake. :(

Hey don't forget my shower doohickey thingie :P

HUGGLES, have fun!

Wow, sounds like you had fun. You'll have to report back after you've braved the parched wasteland, err... Mexico.

I'll be updating my journal often if possible. And Mexico is all but parched at the moment, there's been huge floods, hurricanes and whatnot... I hope the weather is nicer by the time we get there!

I'll keep you peeps posted. :)
