Yeah, my bunnies were holding up images of Seto Kaiba's escape from Pegasus' goons via apparent "suicide."

Bunnies totally missing the point aside, though, Candy, this is a lovely dark fic, and shows that Shinichi has WAYYY too much knowledge of how Gin thinks. Bravo!

Part of me wants to say that yes, Shinichi lived (and possibly put it off to unexplained or supernatural means)...and then he comes back to officially bite Gin...should I do a second part to this? *ponders* The next theme I was going to do could work for it quite nicely...

Shinichi didn't do that because there was nothing. And also because he's not Indiana Jones. And also because then he would technically be a killer himself if he took Gin down with him, and that REALLY goes against his philosophy, ya know?

No, in all seriousness, this was an excellent idea. A little dark, yes but I loved that Shinichi got the last laugh! It must be killing Gin (ha! If only). I could also see Haibara doing this too, just to keep Gin from getting any pleasure in murdering her...well she kind of did this before, huh?

I do think a sequel would be good! Even if Shinichi did not survive it, I think it would be interesting to see what happens afterwards.

Actually, I prefer it as a stand-alone. It's conclusive enough, yet leaves an air of mystery. *is always being so difficult* XD
