Okay, I've held it back, but this fic deserves it . . . .

ZOMG SQUEE!!!!!!!1!!!!

This was even better than the Yukiko and Heiji version. The conversation between Eri and Shin'ichi was restrained just enough to make them quietly tense. You imagined their dynamic well, which is a feat considering that, once you exclude Conan, Shin'ichi and Eri have never spoken in canon. The hints of romance were also very sweet. Great job!

*laugh* YAY! See what I meant when I said to think "Friends fic"? See what I did there? Whee, I rule at the hint-giving! *victory pose* ...although now I'm trying to imagine what would have happened if Heiji had told Yukiko he was in love with her son... XD Bad Candy. No biscuit.

Well, we know they've interacted from when Shinichi and Ran were little--we get to see that in a "flashback freeze-frame," as it were. But you're right, Shinichi and Eri haven't spoken that we've seen. Although didn't Eri warn Ran to watch out for her childhood detective friend? *laugh*
