I know I've been writing about him lots more since he made his appearance in that one Detective Conan arc :) Maybe it just gave me a little bit better idea of his character?

The reason for the stain? Made of win. X3 I LOLed. The image of Toichi wearing the suit while trying to feed Kaito is priceless, not to mention just plain cute! ^^

I love the theme of the fic, how they managed to find common ground despite their opposite professions!

Now I can picture Toichi running out the door, but his harried wife goes, "Sorry dear, I just cut my finger, can you feed him?" and Toichi tries, saying, "Now, here comes the choo choo train, past the place where Daddy needed to be five minutes ago, and--" SPLAT.

I wonder how close Toichi (The pirate! Argh, matey!) and Nakamori were during their time off. Were they good friends or acquaintances like Yuusaku and Kogoro?

Hmmm...most fanon figures that they were probably more like Eri and Yukiko--that they were pretty good friends. And honestly, Toichi seems a lot more outgoing in general than either Yuusaku or Kogoro are. Plus, given what we know of him, I think the danger factor of being friends with the Inspector who's trying to catch him would have been downright irresistible to Toichi ^.~
