“Not much anymore. I'm not even afraid of dying. I used to be afraid that everyone I love will die one day but....”

Just to clarify a little thing here for my inner dictionary, with fear of dying, do you mean A) Fear of actually being dead aka changing your state from living to dead, or do you mean B) Fear of the process of dying, aka twitching and crying in agony while The Joker drops you into a Jar full of Acid and Batman is busy clipping his toe nails, or something like that? Because I consider this a big difference, and one cannot be sure from the phrasing of the question. Just curious!

“Also more of a squeamish thing than a fear thing, my sister showed me her toenail that had been removed from the nail bed.”

Ugh. Siblings … *shivers* … hate them or love them, but best of all, bury them alive. Yuck. That’s definitely something one doesn’t need to see O_o

Well, the way I put it, I meant dying as in ceasing to exist. I don't care if I get torn to shreds, it's the nothing that follows that used to scare me. Nowadays, not so scared. The process of dying is like whatever. Everyone gets to experience it once.

Ah, okay. Thank you for that! Altough I guess getting torn to shreds is a tad uncomfortable ... *ponders* ... but it's really nice you're not scared from it anymore. Being scared of dying diminishes the joy one can take from actually living. Like you say, everybody gets to experience it anyway some time, so why make a fuss about it before it's time?

Somehow I always wonder if it shows that I always need a swift kick to realize such things ...
