Ugh. I'm allergic to shell fish, so I wouldn't be eating any spiders unless I wanted to vomit from the taste of them

Well, it depends, doesn't it? I mean, we're talking about a pit full of spiders, and there's only so much squashing of spiders one can do until you get tired. And please consider that there are very poisonous spiders out there too (like in Australia, there is one Spider so poisonous that it's said you're dead before you hit the ground after a bite) ... so ... not that easy! But as said, at least it's not specified WHERE those pits are, and as long as they are on Jupiter I don't worry that much ;)

Lol, well yeah. But unless you were cultivating them, poisonous spiders are harder to catch than poisonous snakes. And I was thinking more along the line of your common variety "I'm going to crawl in your mouth while you're sleeping because I'm a curious little bastard" spider and run of the mill garden snake
