Challenge #4: Got Snark?

Apr 18, 2007 15:36

Woo Hoo! New challenge time. In case you’re wondering why this wasn’t started earlier, it’s because I was giving last minute posters a few more days to get their fics posted. Now, don’t expect this to happen every challenge. :duck:

Challenge #4: Got Snark? At the start of the last challenge, I asked for people to submit some of their favorite ( Read more... )

...I'm thinking about signing up, just to get back into the swing of things - writing wise... (trying to wrap up some projects now by...hopefully by the end of the month... help! lol. jk) But question, is there a word limit, etc?

Ah, yay! I've got a few writing projects that I wouldn't mind help wrapping up myself. :P

Nope. No word limit. (Curses evil word limits.)

So, if I wanted, I could potentially write a short piece... let's say three to five hundred words. Or if I went really overboard, that would be okay too? ;) (lol)

*hangs heads* Me too. I have a bunch of personal ones just hanging over me, and some other ones with some deadlines. Those, I tend to write last minute, for some reason, the due date kicks me into gear. LOL. But I haven't been able to write much in months due to lack of time *kicks job*, and I need to get back into the swing of it all... I figured a few challenges might help me out, you know??

Of course that would be fine! Some people like to write one shots as where some people like to write anthologies. I want this to be fun for YOU. So, if 300 words tickle your fancy... so be it. If 3,000 words make you all warm and fuzzy... go for it! Just have fun. :)

*Joins in the head hanging.*
I'm doing house_las which is... WAY stressful. I mean, like WOAH stressful. So, I'm trying to not go insane. I've also got my own personal fics looming over me as well as a few other challenges. I've also been having issues due to recent character developments (i.e. I will not be writing s3 Cam anytime soon. Which... is sad. I used to really love writing her.). Basically.... I'm fried. Hmph.

Oh how I love this one....

Ah, I love this quote! I wish I could still have Wilson say it though. I love Jimmy.

:D Me too. Wilson is love. Anyway, I think you can still have him saying it. You just have to have it in a different context. That'd be easy for me seeing as I can't remember when/where he said it (although I do remember him saying it).

May I ask what the consequences of not finishing a story is? If there isn't any, I'll take no. 14 please :)

Thank you for asking! Should you fail to finish your fic you'll be shipped to a far away island where there is no House and only parakeets for company. :P

But serisouly, if you don't finish you don't finish. It's not like I'm going to ban you from the community or anything.

What? No House? That's too cruel!!

...yeah, well, if I'd thought about it properly, I woulda realised there wouldn't be...but there is, in a way. You think ever so slightly less of me, and I feel guilty. Heh, see, that's why I got my last one in so quick. ;)

And ok, I have no ideas for this one...so doomed to parakeets.

Well, it is CRUEL and unusual punishment is it not? :P

Meh, don't feel gulity. It's no big deal.

*Readies the parakeets* Good luck.

Hopefully the challenge is still open, since some quotes aren't taken.

So...#17. Thanks!

Yup. Still open. Just make sure you know the deadline. :)

This is such a lovely quote....

May 18, check. :)

Hmm, this one'll be interesting to tackle. I had thought I might try to apply it to an existing plot bunny, but that will probably not happen. For some reason, I'm thinking the "um" could trip me up...hard to think of characters (of the main players, that is) who stutter like Wilson does.

Well, I'm looking forward to the challenge. Thanks for coming up with this; it should be really fun.

I love when existing polt bunnies can get put to use for challenges. :)

Yeah... his stutter is pretty unique to his character. It's sweet though. Part of why I like the quote. It feels more honest than an outright perfect delivery of a line.

Have fun! I'm glad you like it. :D
