My bad on #2. For some reason I had it in my mind that you'd lived in Germany. and I know you aren't a big car guy. That's why I am actually more interested in your opinion. I get overwhelmed by all the double talk from the "experts." My sister bought a Soul this year (wow, that sounds funny) and I'm looking forward to checking it out when we go to California next week.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being a car guy. In our house it even puts food on the table. :)

Hmm. Five questions for alicat...

Like me, you were a nomad growing up, courtesy of your father. The first 2 questions come from that experience.

1> What advantages and disadvantages in life did you gain from such an upbringing, compared to that of a "normal" childhood, both as a child and now as an adult?

2> Is the concept of someone growing up and living in The Same House completely foreign to you?

On to things epicurious.

3> What are your go-to wines for everyday quaffing and for special occasions?

4> KitKat and I are coming to visit. What meal will you cook for us, bearing in the no seafood and no sushi restrictions?

And finally...

5> You and Chris have been given an all expenses paid 4 day weekend, with the only restriction being how far you can travel; a maximum 8 hour drive one way. Where do you go?
