The rising sun warmed the bare skin of his back, pulled taut over the ripple of muscles that stretched and bent as his arms curled underneath his pillow. Beads of perspiration, brought on by the sun’s touch, pooled and ran slowly down the curve of his spine... leaving a trail instantly cooled by the ceiling fan over the bed. More from habit than from heat, one sculpted leg bent around the edge of the sheet covering him where he lay... silently listening to the sounds of the day surrounding him - wishing there were no where else he needed to be.
