Oh wow. Thank you so much this was very helpful!!

Blending always scares me, but reading this tut makes it less complicated -- I now have a better understanding of the techniques. (I still need a lot of practice though. :D)

You're more than welcome, it's fun to write these things (I wish I could write my thesis as smoothly and quickly as I did this xD).

But... But... You make so beautiful stuff!

Blending is like everything else in the graphic-world not a science, so there's no right or wrong and nothing to be scared of. :D Oh dear, I still need a lot of practice too. :D

I've been using vector masks for ages, but I never thought about the pen tool. Will definitely try it out.

I also like the way you toss all the images into the canvas and move then around until they work. I usually do that with textures, but I never thought of doing it with images (duh!).

Thanks for sharing! :D

Vector masks are amazing. :D
It took me a while to get a hold on the Pen Tool but now that I did, it's a great addition. I mostly use it for vector graphics though.

I started doing this, when i started making tumblr-graphics, because they have the best size for it. And it certainly is a lot of fun to make. :D

You're welcome! It's a pleasure!

It's true, tumblr-graphics are a lot more flexible in that sense. Thankfully, I tend to start out my graphics big and crop them towards the end, so what you're saying is still very useful.
