Okay, I have a theory. I am going to tell you my theory.
Basically, I think either this whole season but the first episode, or everything post-Amy's Choice, is a collective (housed in Amy's mind, maybe?) dream. They hinted at it in the first episode - the way that dreaming, thinking of Prisoner Zero allowed him to be caught. Amy's Choice is another clue - it's all so woven together. And I don't think Amy is dead because, well, "when you die in the dream, you wake up." So Rory's been awake for a while now, and now Amy is awake. Perhaps they were "in the hospital....in a coma."
But yeah. That explains so much. It would have to be a collective dream to include River and many things that Amy wouldn't be able to know, but still. That would explain a lot. So many references to fairy tales - the Doctor is her fairy tale, just like the Pandorica is a fairy tale.
It's not fully formed, but I think it might be something.
It seems to be a pretty popular one (I did some random internetting about the first part), and I think that enough people are coming to that conclusion independently that it definitely has some merit, like calculus or Harry being a Horcrux.
This is a really good theory and it makes a lot of sense, but to say "It was all a dream!" seems like a HUUUUGE cop-out. I'd be upset, haha. *holds head*
I love that scene. It's so adorable. ^^ I wish they'd have kept it, just that one extra minute, but at least they were kind enough to put it in Confidential. :D
