So, I bought an XBOX 360 last night. The recent price drop of the 'Pro' model, coupled with the arrival of $45 in Best Buy incentives, made it the perfect time to jump on the system. Besides, Soul Calibur IV releases in under two weeks. I picked up a few games on clearance and a used copy of Dead or Alive 4.
I think I need to get rid of my XBOX Original, my Gamecube, and my Nintendo GBA SP. The first two have been superseded, and the latter - I never played that much to begin with. Maybe I'll give them away around Christmas. Anybody looking for last-generation console stuff?
I'll hook up the 360 this evening. I even bought myself a "Poor Man" wireless solution for it. Which means that, rather than spending $100 for the 360 WiFi adapter, I spent $20 on 50 feet of Cat-5 Ethernet cable. Which exactly covers the distance from the downstairs TV to the upstairs router. It may not look like much, but it's cheap. And when I feel ambitious, I could probably manage to run it inside the walls or something.
Update : I think I have takers for the systems now - two maybes on the XBox, a yes, on the GC, and a yes on the GBA. Come back in five years, I'm sure I'll have more to get rid of..
Actually, I do have a PS1, but I have some games for it to finish before I ditch it.
