I'm fairly certain that over the next week, there will be assloads of commentary generated simultaneously arguing that McCain is evil for supporting the bailout while Obama is our savior for supporting the bailout. There will also be plenty of commentary saying the opposite. And probably even more commentary saying that people should laud or condemn a specific candidate for voting the way he did, while ignoring that the other candidate voted the exact same way.

We live in a Democracy... we just live in a Democracy of people with incredibly short memory and who are easily manipulated come election time. The up side is that that's less to do with how terrible Americans are and more to do with how terrible humans are.
