That's what we're trying to figure out-do I have a job, will I have a job soon, where will we live, is tracey's school going to re-open next semester, etc, etc

and good to know the red cross is competant at least. i am shocked and upset at how horribly the government is handling this.

Agreed. They seem to be coming in and stopping work while they make plans and follow rules. The local officials are doing whatever they can to work outside and around them when they have to - us up here in St. Tammany are in good shape, with very little thanks to FEMA, and the officials are saying so on the news.

I heard Ray Nagin's little speech locally, and the morning after it happened, General Honore showed up and started getting the military moving, so at least some hope has happened there.
