I totally want jealous Eames butting heads with jealous Cobb over poor Arthur. Want. There is a nice bit of physicality there, the scene where Cobb is chewing out Arthur for not knowing that Fischer had been trained to counter attack, he never touches Arthur though Arthur gets right up in Cobb's face. He throws himself up against Eames and the car though, chest to chest, moments later. Yes, pleasepleaseplease.
I might get on the Mal/Ariadne fic, because now I want that like WOAH. And Mal is just delicious.
I think there is a definite correlation to you thinking he isn't dreaming and it being satisfying and that is another think I applaud Nolan on, it's ambiguous enough to be what it needs to be to whomever watches it.

That said though, I think I'm with you on that Arthur/Eames kick more than any other and while I did have that same early oooh reaction at the idea of Cobb/Arthur, the rest of the movie kinda turned me more towards the idea that Cobb is simply sexually unavailable due to his obsession with Mal - same reason I was relieved to see no attempt at a sexual spark between Cobb and Ariadne. Mal/Ariadne, on the other hand? I want it. Hard. Like, Mal is this gorgeous, scary, self-assured thing of slinking hotness and you know she wants to school Ariadne in that scene... nnnggghhh... sorry, was I saying something?
Yeah, might be time to read more fic for this. And for the new BBC Sherlock, because damned if that hasn't grabbed me by the libido too. I'M SUPPOSED TO BE WRITING SMUT, NOT READING IT DAMN IT. *facepalm*

Sherlock is WAY better than it has any right to be, the updating is handled wonderfully and the visual texture rocks my world and for the first time I can recall, the explicit slashing of Holmes and Watson isn't making me feel patronized or winked-at, it just makes me feel very, very happy. And horny. Mostly horny. *g*

Based on what he and JGL say to Ariadne, Mal's totem wouldn't work for Cobb. And then there's the beginning and near-end being the same. I have so many theories, I can't pick just one.

I agree with all of your thoughts on Eames and Arthur, and how Cobb has an ownership of Arthur in some way.
I really loved Inception, but I don't think it could ever be in my all time list of favourites because I got sick of characters quoting one another. I have such petty complaints :p
