LUPIN!!!! \o/

Damn, it's funny how we have our favourite characters in common even though we've never really fangirled it out over HP? I adore Remus like mad, also seconded very closely by Snape. Guess I'm just drawn to the brainy, dark-tinged outcasts with issues by the barrelful. *g*

I know, it's funny but not at all surprising, is it? ;) I could wax poetic about Lupin forever, or at least for awhile, LOL. I was dreading his moment in Deathly Hallows so much, I just had a feeling he was done for, you know? JKR has said in interviews that other than Harry, Lupin is her favorite, and that she had a lot of difficulty with that scene and when her husband read the first draft, couldn't believe she'd done such a thing. But she traded his life for Arthur Weasley's, I guess she'd originally planned for him to die.

And Snape, oh Snape. I bought into the Snape loved Lily theory pretty early on and something about that just made me adore him and his blackened heart that much more. I've also written far too much fic about him, and Lupin, and him AND Lupin, LOL ;)

Yeah, I'd read somewhere that Arthur was going to die instead, and I guess for the story she made the right choice but oh, I'm still not over how she did it. Lupin deserved better than to get killed off-screen (page? whatever) and okay, it's realistic but Rowling managed to show so many other deaths, so why not Lupin's? I do hope he gets treated with a bit more dignity in the film, at least. :(

Snape, on the other hand, got a wonderful exit, it was horrible but so wonderfully redeemed (as I knew he would be, I mean, c'mon...) and aw, Lily. And Lupin. And Snape and Lupin because I totally used to read that shit by the kilo and om nom nom. *g*

Right there with you. I was devastated by how it occurred.

But Snape, his ending is almost fucking poetic in its redemption. It hurt to read it, you know?

I love Remus too! I went from "I'm enjoying reading" to "I need to find out what happens" about halfway through Prisoner of Azkaban all because of Remus. I also adore the Weasleys - my personal favourite is Bill and I'm ecstatic that he's going to be in the movies :)

Oh me too! That's totally the feeling, that OMG I NEED TO KNOW NOW feeling you get, you know? I love Bill too. I wrote a angsty fic once about Remus and Bill, I am not a fan of Fleur, damn it! LOL.
