I like to think I've changed, at least a little bit! :) It has certainly made me less tolerant of those debbie downers you speak of
So much this! I have had my share of depression and I've fought my way through it tooth and nail. That makes me so much less tolerant of people who are passively miserable and don't seem to want to do anything about it. If you want to be miserable, that's fine. Just don't foist it on the rest of us unless you're venting to move on or asking for help to get through, m'kay? 'Kay.
You got it right, though, what you said...It's when that's your ONLY way to look at life, you know? It's a natural state, to be down, but all the time, on everything? Always MY LIFE IS SHIT WOE IS ME, it gets old.
Totally hyped up on ridiculous amounts of Lucozade, a great sesh at the gym and shameless flirting with LPTB!!!!!!!!!
I can be a bit of a downer lots of the time sometimes, so I see what you're saying, but due to the endorphin and glucose rush at this precise moment I'm playing cheesy Glee songs at full volume on my iTunes and bouncing about. Wanna join me? :DDD
Woman, I love how you just let out what you're thinking. You are never going to have "holding it all in high blood pressure" problems. Have an excellent holiday with your boys.
Yard work day for me. All by myself, as I expected the S.O. to get back from work around 1:30 but he didn't show until 4:30. Could have used help, too, dammit. Some of the branches were too high up for me and my pruner. I love my pruner. Tomorrow, it's errands. Well, one errand. Picking up wine to be precise. Yay!
I am, as you probably know, a rebound depressive. I have always found you to be very supportive and sympathetic towards me and my low moods. But then, I work very, very hard to drag myself out of my depression when I get into it, so maybe I don't fall into your category of 'miserable for lack of trying not to be
( ... )
You, darling, definitely don't fit what I'm talking about. Not at all.
Negative people are draining, when they're always that way. It's quite different to help out a friend who's having a rough time of it, or a bad day, you know? It drives me nuts as well, when someone can't see what their obvious talent/gift/what have you, is. I don't think you're like that at all.
Sounds like that one person was a real pain to be around. That's the sort I mean.
I don't know if life would be easier, but it certainly would be boring, wouldn't it? LOL
