What do a raven and a writing desk have in common?

I don't know, Mad Hatter, but I do know that I LOVED the movie. As soon as it was over I wanted to see it again. I am a pretty big Tim Burton/Johnny Depp fan to begin with, though that doesn't mean I automatically love their collaborations. For instance, I can't stand Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it pains me to watch it. But I do love most of ( Read more... )

I haven't seen the film yet, I'm just stopping by to hope that Peter makes a speedy recovery. ♥

He was a bit better this morning, so off to school he went, per doctor's orders. Said his chest hurt less, which is a relief. The cough still sounds nasty, but I guess it's going to, as it gets better.

Thanks, babe, I appreciate the thoughts :)

I may have to go see this, if I can talk someone into going with me. Thank GOD, someone who's a Tim Burton fan but hates Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Did you find someone to go with you? I hope so! I really want to see it again!

So you don't like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory either? The movie pains me.

As you know, I loved the movie and I didn't really expect to. I'm with you about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and that is why I didn't have any expectation.

I found the scenery spectacular in this, the mushroom fields, the bracken, the burned village. It was alternately dark and light and felt so real. Anne Hathaway was so funny as the White Queen, campy in a great way. I loved the way she held her hands and then glanced at them as if to say 'this is pretty lame.' :) And the big head of the Queen of Hearts added to the humor in what was essentially a dark tale.

All around, a great film and a good distraction for you, something you needed. Hugs for Peter and mama!
