delightfully so...

i wish now that i hadn't refused to see it in theaters...of all recent horror remakes, i seemed to be the most indignantly repulsed by this one. i am not a purist, and quite enjoy remaking cycles in hollywood (shit's been going on for decades, it's nothing new)...but THIS one, THE WICKER MAN, jeez, i thought to myself "you fuckers can't touch this movie, you mother fuckers, just let it be!"...but i finally watched it...and, wow. to say the film was excessive is an understatement. it unabashedly indulged in every convention and cheap trick in the book...sometimes i felt like the movie was screaming, "haha! fuck you!"...though, it was very intriguing, i couldn't look away. there's more to say, but that's it for now...i'm going to own this treasure for my collection one day.

even though i hate to admit it, i too enjoy the remake cycles ever since i did the paper on them, i've been kinda obsessed with most of the remakes hollywood puts out. mostly because i like to compare and contrast the original to the remake.

i enjoyed nicolas cage! ^__^

This film was held for two years in a vault, waiting for a dry point for that silly ol nicky cage. Fuck the movie sucked though. Even the original sucked. ever since snake eyes, nicolas cage has gone down to shit. His last good movie was face off........ just saying.
