I had originally wanted something like that to happen. I wasn't trying to make it so depressing in the end. it just happened that way. Which is a roundabout way of me saying I doubt there will be a sequel of that nature.

But at this point, I really don't see an different ending. When I started, I had wanted to put at least a hopeful ending on, but when I got to it, it just doesn't fit and cheapens what I was trying to do.

I might be convinced to write a followup, but not just yet.
