11 days since my last entry isn't too bad, I guess. So the day after I last wrote, I did end up going to the islands with Sarah, Amy, Amanda and Kim. It was an absolutely lovely day, with pretty much perfect weather for being outside and hanging out on the beach. We (minus Kim, who met up with us later) caught the 10:45 ferry over to Ward's Island

Haha, yeah, it is definitely not fun when you go to the beach expecting nice warm happy water, and then you go in and it's freezing! You probably had an even worse transition than me, because I'd imagine the water near Hawaii is even warmer than what I was used to. Lol, and of course, Brad and my Canadian friends were all like, it's not that bad. Pfft.

"heartbroken and upset, but in a good way" is definitely a good way to describe it, haha. I think that is an awesome idea, too, and I would totally go see that marathon!

The island trip sounds like so much fun! And Toronto looks so pretty. You need sunglasses! :P I can barely go out without them since my LASIK surgery, so I feel like everyone should have at least one pair of sunglasses!

I've only ever been in the ocean once and that was in Texas in October. It wasn't terribly warm. I guess I never realized that the ocean was warmer than the Great Lakes. Hmmm. Lake Ontario might be colder than Lake Erie, though.

That wedding looks AWESOME! I can't believe that food. Mmmm. And the cake pops? Too cute. Best part though was definitely the ice cream bar. In Western PA where I grew up, every wedding had a cookie table. Still not as cool as the ice cream bar.

Oh god, I know, right?! It still just skeeves me out every time I think about it. I wonder if they'll actually respond to my email or do anything about it.

Yeah, we went to the islands last summer, too, and I really like it there. It's a lot of fun. :) And you're right, I should probably wear sunglasses more. Every time I bought a pair in the past, they either broke quickly or never really suited me, so I guess I stopped wanting to spend money on them. :-/

Oh really?! Ha, that's hard for me to imagine, since I grew up an hour from the ocean, but I guess that's probably true for most of the people who live inland. Yeah, I've only been in Lake Ontario and Lake Huron, and they were both pretty damn cold, even in August. Don't know about the other Great Lakes, though. I'm not sure what would make any of them warmer than the others.

Haha, the ice cream bar was definitely the best part, although a cookie table does sound pretty damn awesome as well!

You have a great group of friends! It sounds like you guys do so many fun things as a big group, which I think is awesome!

OMG. I'm a total germaphobe so the ice cream thing...ugh. How can anyone think that's ok, germaphobe or not?! So much wrong with that! I hope you hear from them and that they train their workers better because that's just unacceptable. :(

The wedding sounds like it was so lovely. I love the group picture! In the first picture I had to do a double take and thought Kara was you!

I have no idea what the guy was thinking. I mean, he was young and maybe new to working there? but still, I don't know how you could possibly think it was okay to just put the ice cream back.

I was scrolling through initially and didn't stop to look closely (jut skimmed before reading). I think you do look alike! Probably more in this picture more than any of the others because I don't remember thinking that before.
