Bad me, bad. Clearly it's been several weeks since I've posted again. Honestly, I feel both like not a whole lot has been going on and like I've been really busy, so how both are possible in the same time frame is anyone's guess. Work has certainly been quite busy, as we're getting into that time of year in which everyone wants all of my ( Read more... )

The yoga class/that Meetup group sounds great! It sucks that the place isn't closer to home. An hour+ to get there definitely doesn't sound ideal! I hope you get to do other fun stuff with that group soon. :-)

Why are you worried about Becca?

Those strawberry chocolate chip muffins look amazing! It's always awesome to find recipes that are healthier and that you enjoy. :-)

I hope that your next period/pre-period time treats you better! I've been on bc for 8 years and sometimes consider going off it so it'll be nice to read about your experiences!

Thanks, me too! It was a lot of fun, so hopefully I'll find something else close by.

Ah, lots of stuff she's dealing with in her marriage that has her quite stressed. Probably not my place to go into all the details here, but I'm just trying to help her out the best I can.

Yeah, they were pretty delicious! And it is nice to find healthy recipes that are also tasty! :)

Me too! Though at least if it does happen again next time, I'll know what's going on.

You're a great friend for trying to help! I'm sure she appreciates it. <3

If you pinned those I think I may have repinned them from you. They look deliciously familiar.

Definitely! :-)

Holy crap that's some terrible scheduling those schools are sticking you with! Would more "tenure" (sorry for the lack of a better word) for you make it easier for you to dictate your own schedule when it comes down to the schools you work with?

I hear yoga is pretty awesome and a great way to stay fit and in shape. Would perhaps one of those DVD yoga session thingies be of use for you, or is it better when you're among others to share the experience?

Yeah, I'm guessing the bumming mood swing is an indicator of when it's coming for you? I know for Denise, when her appetite turns voracious (and she eats a lot to begin with!) and she's sleepy all of the time that it's about time for her period. Her schedule is all out of whack so she has a tough time guessing when it's going to happen, but at least for me, I can gauge when it's a couple of days away and warn her beforehand.

No, not really, more seniority would only (maybe) allow me a bit more choice in which schools I have, but the scheduling is a much trickier issue. The meetings that I have to go to, I'm part of a team of people who are supposed to be there, all of whom generally have multiple schools just like I do. So I can't just say, hey, I already have a meeting on Mondays, let's do ours on Wednesdays, because everyone else who is part of the meeting has other schools and possibly conflicting schedules as well. You can imagine how difficult it is to find the one magical time that works for all of the people involved, so most schools are reluctant to change their meeting times once they've found one that works. I think my best hope is to maybe get rid of one of the schools I have now and pick up another one whose meetings are on a different day, but I don't know what the likelihood of that happening is. Our annual allocations meeting isn't until the end of May/beginning of June, so I won't know until then, and since I am fairly low on the seniority ( ... )
