Hey friends. Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. I keep feeling like I should write, but then feeling like I have nothing to say. I've come up with a few things though, so you get an entry

Seriously. And yes, you have to have a basic understanding of dog training/simple commands and whatnot, but really. This is not rocket science, especially for anyone who's ever spent time around animals.
I don't know. A big part of me is definitely like 'fuck this shit'. Especially because even if they did hire me, I was told that their dog walkers rarely walk dogs close to where they live, and I don't know if I really want to spend the time/energy/gas driving all over the city for this. But then, because we don't have any other source of income at the moment, I feel like I'm not in a position to turn it down if they offer. Soooo I don't know. I'm going to keep looking for other stuff, too and see what happens.
Yeah, no kidding, that would definitely not be worth it. I'm just concerned that, especially if they hired me part-time, I'd pretty much just be making enough to cover the gas money anyway, and then what's the point? :-/
I cannot believe those interviews! Three? Are they kidding? The first one sounds particularly, wtf. The second and third seem legit, but come on with the three!
Woohoo for furniture, yay! Do the cats like going on them?
For some reason I imagine you with frames that are a bit darker in color!
Ha ha, actually, we've been trying to keep the cats off of them for now. We got the protective coating thing, to prevent stains and what not, but they have to come put that on at a later date, i.e. it wasn't on when the furniture was delivered. So we've been trying to keep the cats off until the protective stuff is on, so that the couches aren't totally coated in cat hair before they come, haha.
My old glasses are a bit darker. Here is a picture of me in those; it's super cheesy because it's a picture I sent Brad while we were dating, but it's the only one I could think of where I know I was wearing my glasses. Because I wear my contacts 99% of the time, there aren't a lot of pictures of me in glasses past the age of 16, lol.
And thanks, lol. Yeah, I should post some pics of me as a kid - the glasses I wore then were RIDICULOUS. I had these huge frames that took up half my face, lol. So glad I wear contacts now.
My best friend at grad school just had two interviews - including one entirely in Russian - and a background check for an INTERNSHIP which he didn't end up getting. Employers are totally freaking nuts.
Jesus, that's ridiculous. And when I think back on it, immigration stuff aside, I didn't have to jump through this many hoops to get my ACTUAL job, let alone a stupid summer dogwalking job! :p
Ugh I am seriously so tired of the multiple-interview thing. I'm in between interviews for a travel company right now, and while I can understand them having 2 interviews, I applied for a job at Wawa earlier in the summer (because Wawa is coming to Florida, oh happy day) and they even had multiple interviews. At Wawa. Like, really? I've had two other interviews where I had to do a "pre-interview phone screening" before the interview, where they called me and asked me some questions before actually inviting me in. Like, just making sure the stuff on my resume is legit. It's annoying and it wastes my time!
Yeah, it really sounds like interviewing has gotten a bit out of hand. I guess that's what happens when the economy sucks so bad and so many people are looking for work, but still.
