What is this? An entry from me? The world must be ending! Either that or we've finally moved and I feel like my brain has been released from the stranglehold all things moving-related have had on it for the past couple months

Yeah, it definitely was a headache. I realized at like 11-something pm that I hadn't even stopped to pee since I woke up. It was just ridiculous. And you're right, the worst part is done. I don't mind unpacking and organizing a new place nearly as much. Dear lord, your moving experience sounds awful too! I can't even imagine what we'd have done without the uhaul; there's no way most of our furniture would ever have fit in my Versa.
Glad you're in your new home! Moving is a big hassle, but i think the lack of future hassles will make it all worth it!
Did you take some time off work to tackle the unpacking? I only took two days and it wasn't enough - I had to come home from work every night and continue unpacking which made for a very exhausting week. It does feel quite nice when all is said and done and you can sit back and enjoy a nice dinner or movie though :)
Thanks, me too! And I definitely hope there are fewer hassles with this place!
No, unfortunately. I took a sick day Friday to finish packing and all pre-move, but I've got a lot of stuff going on at work this week that I can't really miss, so no post-move time off. It'll just have to get done in little bits at a time. I think Brad and I are going to treat ourselves to dinner and a movie tonight, because we feel we've earned it, haha. :)
Congrats on the move-in though boo on the comedy of errors and the hassles. The hard part's done though so that's definitely a plus! Can't wait for the photos! :-)
Ewww on that sticky paper on the shelves, I HATE HATE HATE that stuff! It's always disgusting!
Yeah, I did remember the goo gone stuff later, but Brad actually solved the problem by just flipping the shelves upside down. So the goo is still on the bottom of the shelves, but it doesn't matter because it's not like we'll ever use that side.
The fresh start is definitely really nice. I like making a new place feel like ours. :)

Ugh, I know! I seriously do not understand why anyone would use it.
