I'm sorry to hear that the housing world isn't really helping you guys out in your situation. In their world.. they don't care about the little people, all they care about is the money they make. Thats the part that pisses me off about them. A little give or take here.. and things would be THAT much better.
But, I've got to say... stick with it. Hopefully something better will come along soon. :)

Oh yeah, I don't think any big business realm cares about little people. But while that situation may not have been the right one, I'm hopeful that we will find the right one. And I had an offer today from one of my babysitting families that might actually help us out quite a bit. So we'll see what happens.
Damn that sucks about the place you folks looked at and they spring up that huge chunk o' moolah up front. It's a shame they're not being more flexible with you folks.

I'm kind of feeling at this point like that place isn't meant to be. I was really bummed and disappointed about not getting it because it is so awesome, but I left the meeting with the guy about paperwork feeling uncomfortable and not at ease with the whole situation, and Brad agreed after I talked it over with him. And that's probably a good sign that this isn't the right one for us. So I'm hopeful that we'll find something else awesome, and I think we're looking into finding a realtor to help us, which might be an advantage.
Yeah, that seems like an excellent idea going the realtor route which to me is odd using a realtor for rentals, but it makes perfect sense after giving it some thought! If anything they can scour their databases to your "must haves" at the price point which is best for you folks and do all of your leg work for you.
Hmmm, I wonder if they do that here in the States? The only time I have seen realtors dealing with rentals is on that Income Property show on HGTV and that's a Canadian show.
Yeah, apparently it's fairly common up here? I don't know, because I've never done it before, but a bunch of people I know have done that, so why not give it a try and save ourselves some stress, you know?
