That's so so sweet of your grandfather! It's great that you were able to reconnect. Better late than never. Do you know when you plan to visit again? I'm guessing once the whole residency stuff has gone through?

Yeah, I'm hoping so. I went to request a trial this morning, and was told I'd get a notice in the mail in 3-6 months. Lol. Okay, I will pretty much forget about it in the meantime.
It really was! I'll have to sit down this weekend and write him a nice thank you note. I don't know about the next time I'll visit. He invited us for Christmas, but I'm already trying to figure out how to go to two different places over winter break, so I don't know where I'll end up going. But I'll certainly try to go again whenever it's possible.
